Compo Pack Ration

Introduction

A Composite pack ration that provides a full day's meal, delivers around 3700 calories and weighs less than a Kg has been developed by the Laboratory to meet the strategic operational requirements of the Armed Forces. All items of ration reconstitute readily in hot Water in just 10-15 mins. The pack also includes hexamine fuel tablets and a foldable stove to enable cooking. The pack ration is best suited, for use by the police and para-military forces on patrol duty, mountaineers, trekkers, picnic enthusiasts, etc. Compo pack rations are regular items of supply in the Defence. The laboratory imparts necessary training in processing and packing of items that constitute pack rations to the interested entrepreneurs.
