Evenness Tester for Jute/ Blended Yarn

Introduction

An Indian R&D Centre has developed evenness tester for jute/ blended yarn. It is a low cost micro-controller based system for measurement of thick and thin places, stubs in the jute/ blended yarns.

The sensor works on the capacitance principle and the servo motor controlled drive mechanism is designed to run the predetermined length of yarn for testing. The development is ready for mill trials.

Grist range : 2 lbs to 36 lbs single ply yarn and 4.8 lbs (2 ply) to 36 lbs (2 ply) yarn
Testing speed : 50, 100, 200 yards/min.
