Introduction
Improved agricultural implements and tools play a vital role in increasing agricultural production, besides good quality seeds and fertilizers and an efficient irrigation system. They reduce the drudgery of the manual operation and cut down the operation time in the fields.
In the rice fields it is a common sight to find men and women transplanting saplings, in a laborious manner. The convenient method of transplantation is very time consuming and the out put is very little. A simple manually operated rice planting machine has been developed to save labour and reduce the drudgery involved. It enables transplantation of rice sapling in a systematic manner and also increases productivity.
