A Process for Acid Pickling Inhibitor
Type of Technology
Indigenous
Area of Technology
Materials and Material Science
Brief Description
A unique inhibitor with no equals in the market. High molecular weight, multistrutural bonds and presence of localised electron density at active centres enable the product to be very superior in application, with proven inhibition efficiency of over 90% at all operating concentration of acids and temperatures. It enables to reduce acid consumption by 30%, metals dissolution by 50% and fume generation by 80 to 90%
Major raw materials
- Polymers of high molecular weight
- Amine and thio-compounds etc. All are in digenously available
Major Plant Equipment/Machinery
- Tanks
- Stirrers
- Filtration assembly
- Vacuum pumps
- Weighing machine etc. All are indigenously available. Ideally suitable for small scale industry
Area of Application
Minerals, Metals and Materials
Applications
Used during pickling of steel in sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid.
