Meat Testing Kit

Introduction

An analytical kit based on HPTLC is available for testing meat in the early stages of spoilage. Detection of metabolites produced on spoilage of meat in different stages is instrinsic to this meat testing kit. The test enables screening of doubtful quality meats and is applicable to fresh (unprocessed) as well as processed (cooked, canned and dehydrated) meats. The whole test procedure can be completed in 1.5 to 2.0 hours. The test permits analysis of 5-6 samples.
