Automatic Capacitance - Voltage (C - V) Plotter for Solar Cells
Introduction
This instrument can measure the capacitance of a solar cell, or of any other semiconductor device, from 2pF to 200,000 pF. It can sequentially plot capacitance vs. voltage and conductance vs. voltage of a solar cell, in dark and under illumination, directly on an X - Y recorder. The value of the capacitance / conductance can also be read directly on a digital display. The instrument is also provided with the facility for deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) measurements.
Salient features
Capacitance measurement in 5 ranges from 20pF to 200,000pF FSD. Conductance measurement in 5 ranges from 2micromho to 200millimho FSD. Measurement frequency:100kHz, 20mV rms. Internal ramp voltage amplitude. 0 - 1V in 10 steps, 0 - 10V in 10 steps. The time of ramp is continuously variable. Plots C - V of solar cells from 2pF to 200kpF.
