- To promote agricultural entrepreneurship in India

- To augment and strengthen existing State and Central SFAC
The Venture Capital Assistance Scheme is one of the best efforts of the Indian government to promote agricultural entrepreneurship in India.
Venture Capital Assistance is financial support in the form of an interest free loan provided by SFAC to qualifying projects to meet shortfall in the capital requirement for implementation of the project. Individuals, farmers, agri-preneurs, self-help groups, proprietary firms, agriculture graduates, etc. are eligible for loans under this scheme.
