NewGen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (NewGen IEDC)

NewGen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (NewGen IEDC) is an entrepreneurship development programme sponsored by The National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) for industries such as technology hardware, chemicals, networking & telecommunications, agriculture, artificial intelligence, construction and design.

To be eligible for this entrepreneurship development programme in India , the parent institution needs to have the requisite expertise along with infrastructure. The infrastructure must include a dedicated space of at least 5,000 square feet for the establishment of NewGen IEDC library, skilled faculty, workshops, among other requirements.

The promotion of NewGen IEDC in educational institutes is mainly an attempt to develop an entrepreneurial culture with the help of an institutional mechanism. This NSTEDB startup scheme offers a one-time non-recurring limited financial assistance of up to INR 25 lakhs. Moreover, non-recurring grants are provided in order to support working capital cost.
