Introduction

A cost effective, biocompatible as well as bio-degradable import substitute in the form of block or powder is provided for use as bone inducing material containing hydroxyaptite and collagen hydrolysate. It is prepared by using a solution of a connective tissue protein and biocompatible inorganic substance. The product has been clinically tested and proved successful in human/animal for enormous orthopaedic applications in maxillofacial surgery, jaw bone restoration, repairing intrabony defects, augmenting mandibular ridge.
