Nano Ganesh

Technology Description

"This technology is a small, vertical, single shaft wind generator."

  • The design of the small wind generator is such that it only contains one shaft and uses multi-directional blades so that it is not limited to a single direction of the wind.
  • The technology is targeted at individual households and small agricultural needs such as irrigation. The wind generator can be connected to pumps to drive the pump for irrigation or other uses. For household use the wind generator can be connected to batteries and used to charge the batteries from which the electricity can be drawn to power lights and household appliances.
  • The maximum electric energy that can be produced by the invention is 1KW.
  • The invention facilitates bringing electric power to remote locations where the power grid is yet to be installed.
  • The inventor believes that the wind generator can be manufactured very inexpensively. Three prototypes have been built using off-the-shelf components.
