Home » Technology » New Technologies » Environment Technologies » Nanofiltration Process for Treatment of Wastewater from Industry

Introduction

Removal of excess chloride and cyanide from waste water.

Salient Technical Features

•  The process enables separation of chloride from 2000 mg/L in the effluent, to an acceptable level of < 500 mg/L with a water recovery of 75%.

•  The process is more economical when compared to reverse osmosis and other conventional processes.

Scale of Development

•  Pilot Scale with 5.0 to 8.0 m3/hr capacity

Status of Commercialization

•  The NF pilot plant of 5.0 to 8.0 m 3 /h capacity of permeate capacity is successfully commissioned

Major Raw Materials to be Utilized

•  Prefilters and Membranes Modules

Major Plant Equipment and Machinery Required

•  Raw Water Pump, High Pressure Pump, Pressure Vessels, Pressure Gauges, Rotameters, Storage tanks etc.,
