Introduction

A national research organisation is offering a technology for anaerobic rotating biological contractor. The reactor is made of mild steel and horizontal in nature. It is fabricated into two halves. The inlet is provided at the bottom of the reactor and outlet at the top. A fixed film structure made up of bakelite disc is mounted on a steel shaft. The shaft provides more surface area for the biomass to adhere. The two hemispheres of the reactor are fitted with nuts and bolts.
