Introduction

Switched mode power supplies are preferred in photovoltaic applications because of their inherent high efficiency. These are required to stabilize the output voltage, of PV generators, which varies over a large value depending on the incident solar radiation. A parallel combination of five of these can give a stabilized 24V dc, 500W source which operates over an input voltage from 30V to 50V dc.


Special Features

Input dc voltage:30V - 50V. Output dc voltage:24V. Output dc current :more than 4A.Output ripple :less than 100mV peak to peak. Output is short circuit protected. Output is over-voltage protected. Input is over-voltage protected. Frequency of operation :10kHz. Maximum efficiency at 100W:more than 85%. Converts 30-50V dc non - isolated 24V dc, 4A dc supply.
