On Line Set Point Servo System (OLSPSS)

Home » Technology » New Technologies » Electronics & Communication Technologies » On Line Set Point Servo System

Introduction

This is an automated system to test trip points of plant safety system by servoing the input signal around the set point. Facility also exists to move the input signal to full range & also above full range & below the minimum range for on line live signal calibration. The output leads are connected across 4-20mA terminators of the system under test. This test & monitoring sequence neither disturbs the field loop current nor the wiring of the inputs to system under test.

This method helps the plant maintenance, as wiring need not be disconnected to calibrate or to test the safety signals. This method also avoids fear of wrong connections & loose connections after the plant maintenance. This method increases the safety & availability of the plant.
