A device for detecting cancer lesions of uterine cervix
Technology Description
It relates to a device for detecting precancerous and early cancerous lesions of uterine cervix. This device can be used where electricity is a problem, because it can be operated on 12 volt rechargeable battery. This device uses white light, color temperature of 5500K – 6000K along with Interchangeable magnifying lenses (1+,2+,4+ diopter) provided for different magnification , with recommend combination of 1+ and 4+ diopter. A handy grip is provided with switch control under the right hand thumb, which is easily operable. It has high sensitivity with a specificity of 94.3% for precancerous and early cancerous lesions of uterine cervix and reduces false positive results. It is a low cost, easy to operate, portable, affordable device for screening of uterine cervical cancer and oral cavity.
