Technology Description

It is a product related to personal cooling garment (PCG) which is designed and developed to mitigate heat related disorders, diseases and protect people who are exposed to high hot environment such as foundries, construction, agriculture, boiler workers, etc where ambient temperature is above 40ºC. The liquid coolant at 5 to 10oC is re-circulated through the silicone tubing at a flow rate of 15 liter/hour. A small sized portable, 6-12 Volt battery operated water pump is immerged into the liquid coolant kept in double-layered reservoir bottle of a size of 3 liter capacity. A simple garment is attached with silicon tube line for recirculation of cooled coolant thus providing localized cooling of the body area .The covered upper body part area is about 0.30 sq m (20% of the total body surface area). Wearer’s mobility is not restricted with PCG and he can go to any remote situation places without any additional accessories. Coolant is to be refilled every 90 to 120 min to sustain cooling effect over 2 hours.
