Incentive granting and Project Management
Startups in electronic manufacturing under industries like the Internet of Things, technology hardware, nanotechnology, automotive, renewable/ non- renewable energy, etc. are eligible for the Modified Special Incentive Package Scheme (M-SIPS). Under this scheme, the applications will be received upto 31-12-2018 or till the time that an incentive commitment of Rs 10,000 crore is reached, whichever is earlier.
The scheme is open for both new and expansion projects. It was launched in July 2012 by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) for the growth of entrepreneurship in India . It mainly aims at supporting the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) awareness seminars and workshops to spread knowledge about IPR among different stakeholders.
M-SIPS provides a capital subsidy of 20% and 25% in SEZ and non-SEZ, respectively for units involved in manufacturing of electronics. It also provides you reimbursements of excise for capital equipment. You may send your online applications via e-MSIPS.
